German WC14 players offered big bonuses

The German football federation DFB will pay each player 300,000 euros ($A450,000) if they win a fourth World Cup in Brazil on Sunday (Monday AEST).

"We would very much like to pay the bonus," said DFB chief Wolfgang Niersbach after Germany's sensational 7-1 defeat of hosts Brazil in the semi-final on Tuesday.

That game has already earned the German players 150,000 euros ($A225,000) each.

Germany will play the final against Argentina or the Netherlands, whose semi-final takes place on Wednesday (Thursday AEST).
