Footballer sucks on a dummy

When it comes to goal celebrations footballers can be a creative bunch.

Whether it's Timmy Cahill's corner flag boxing routine, the knee slide or the shirt over the head, the modest fist-pump or raising of arms seems to be the preserve of the minority.

But CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia showed he was no dummy in the creative stakes when he pulled out a pacifier to suck on after finding the back of the net in his side's Champions League victory over Manchester City.

Latching onto a free kick in just the third minute the Ivorian marksman sent a powerful header past Joe Hart to set the Russian side on its way to victory.

Clearly confident of scoring, Doumbia reached down into his sock as he ran away in celebration and pulled out the pacifier which he promptly shoved in his mouth.

Whether he was celebrating fatherhood or simply trying having a dig at City fans we don't know, but the footage has proven a hit on social media.

For the record CSKA won the tie 2-1.
