Football: Alves scissor kicks open bottle of beer

Who needs a bottle opener when you're one of the greatest footballers in recent memory?

Brazilian defender Dani Alves took his skills from the field and put them to practical use when he acrobatically cracked open a bottle of beer with a perfectly executed scissor kick.

The newly-transferred Juventus player was filmed on social media sizing up his target before leaping into the air and cracking the top of the bottle with his right foot.

The former Barcelona star then literally drinks in the accolades of his accomplishment, despite his method of prising turning the beer into a large cloud of froth.

And from the amount of people who have already watched the Instagram video – over a million at the time of writing – it's a safe bet wannabe stars will be practicing this trick in their own backyards. But they're not Dani Alves.
