Matildas player ratings: Sam Kerr replacement's 'outstanding' effort in epic victory
The Matildas are the toast of the nation after thrashing Canada 4-0 in Melbourne on Monday to secure a spot in the Women's World Cup round of 16.
Sam Kerr didn't make it onto the pitch but it didn't matter, as her teammates stood tall in her absence.
We run the rule over every Australian player and how they fared.

Mackenzie Arnold (7.5): Was solid in goal once again and pulled off two world-class saves in the second half to preserve Australia's clean sheet.

Steph Catley (8.5): Outstanding game as she scored from the spot and provided an assist for the first goal. Provided constant width and looked to get forward at every opportunity while defending solidly.
Alanna Kennedy (6.5): Defended well in the centre of Australia's defence and used her experience to help guide the team from the back.
Clare Hunt (7): Immense again as she physically dominated in the heart of Australia's defence while being neat in possession.
Ellie Carpenter (6): Looked to get forward when she could and was sound in defence after a nervous start.
Emily van Egmond (6.5): An unselfish role in Australia's midfield and looked to help press high when Canada were in possession.
Hayley Raso (8): Two goals and constantly pushed the Canadian defence back with her threatening runs forward, while helping back in defence when needed.
Kyra Cooney-Cross (7): Had her best game of the tournament where her control in midfield defied her young age and was unlucky not to score from distance in the second half.
Katrina Gorry (6): Worked hard as always but was loose in possession at times. Her effort encapsulated an Australia performance which was full of determination and effort.
Caitlin Foord (7.5): Worked tirelessly up front and allowed space for other players as she constantly made unselfish runs out wide , set up the third goal after a clever run and cut back.
Mary Fowler (7): Struggled to impose herself on the game in the first half. Showed her class in the second half as the game stretched and was able to latch onto a Foord cutback as she scored the third goal.
SUBSTITUTES
Cortnee Vine on 74th min. (5): Made some good forward movements and looked to involve herself with her limited minutes.
Clare Polkinghorne on 83rd min. (5): Went into the centre of Australia's defence and helped the team see out the game.
