FFA wins Olyroos arbitration

Australia will send a full-strength side to the under-23 Asian soccer championships next month after an arbitration found in favour of FFA's right to select whichever players it wishes for the national team.

The owner of Central Coast - which will lose star man Daniel De Silva among three key players during January as a result - lashed out at the decision and said he would consider asking for compensation.

"Ultimately, this is another body blow to the A-League and its fans, we'll roll with the punches but someone has to be made accountable for the dwindling attendance and TV broadcast figures," Mariners owner Mike Charlesworth said.
