Fenerbahce fans throw bottle at head of Basaksehir goalkeeper Volkan Babacan

There were ugly scenes in the Super Lig with Fenerbahçe fans viciously throwing a bottle at the head of opposition goalkeeper Volkan Babacan. 

Istanbul Başakşehir's keeper was throwing a ball back over the sideline in his side's 3-2 upset over the home side when a projectile thrown from the crowd hit his face and exploded. 

Babacan did not see the bottle coming and immediately went to the ground, clutching his face. The Turkish international was visibly upset at the incident while he was being treated by medical staff on the pitch, but he was given the all-clear to play out the rest of the match. 

The shocking incident is sure to draw some sort of punishment for the Fenerbahçe faithful involved.
