Falcao in hospital after head injury

Monaco's Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has spent the night in hospital under observation after suffering a heavy blow to his head.

The injury was sustained in Monaco's 4-0 Ligue 1 defeat by Nice where Falcao collided with the opposing goalkeeper and suffered a concussion.

According to French newspaper L'Equipe, test results showed that the striker is in good condition, but had to spend the night in hospital under medical observation before he can resume training.

In the last moments of the first half of the match, Falcao, 30, collided with Nice goalkeeper Yoan Cardinale and sustained a severe blow to his head.
