Ibrahimovic best Swedish player: poll

Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unquestionably the national team's best player, followed by veteran midfielder Kim Kallstrom, a new survey shows.

Ibrahimovic, 34, was rated the best player by 81 per cent of those polled, while 33-year-old Kallstrom scored 24 per cent, Swedish Radio Sports reported.

The broadcaster commissioned the TNS Sifo survey to gauge who were rated as the two top players in Sweden.

Young forward John Guidetti put up a strong challenge to Kallstrom, garnering 23 per cent, the survey showed.

Guidetti on Sunday scored his first goal for Sweden in a friendly against Wales in a final tune-up match before the Euro 2016 tournament.

Swedish Radio Sports expert Richard Henriksson said the results showed Ibrahimovic was "not liked by everyone".

Guidetti's score was somewhat surprising as the Celta Vigo striker was unlikely to start next to Ibrahimovic in Sweden's June 13 opener against Ireland, Henriksson added.

About 1500 people were polled in mid May. The results were released on Wednesday.
