Ferdinand squeals with delight at Zlatan equaliser
If you were ever in any doubt as to what the Manchester United-Liverpool rivalry means, you only need to watch Rio Ferdinand’s reaction to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s equaliser in the latest edition of the ferocious EPL rivalry.
In his role as a TV pundit, the former Manchester United star had cameras trained on him as he watched his former team battle their arch-rivals.

Ferdinand can be seen howling in despair as the ball bounces around the Liverpool goalmouth but doesn’t go in before squealing “goal” as Ibrahimovic headed home the 84th minute equaliser.
The footage was played back to a sheepish Ferdinand after the match, with the former Red Devil also posting the clip on Instagram and admitting in the caption that he got “carried away.”
The two clubs, who are the most decorated in English football, have one of world football’s most famous derby clashes with the two cities also being rivals in the north-west going back centuries.
