England will go into their upcoming friendlies against Germany and Brazil with a 22-man squad with Burnley midfielder Jack Cork receiving his first senior call-up.

The 28-year-old was added to the squad on Tuesday as cover in a midfield already shorn of several first-team players through injury.

Raheem Sterling, Jordan Henderson and Fabian Delph all pulled out of the squad earlier in the day, joining Tottenham's Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Harry Winks as withdrawals.

West Brom midfielder Jake Livermore was called up late on Monday while defender Gary Cahill, who was an injury doubt, joined up on Tuesday, the BBC reported.

England play Germany at Wembley on Friday and then host Brazil at the same venue on November 14.
