Chelsea sign Belgium striker Batshuayi

Chelsea signed Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille on a five-year contract, the Premier League club said on Sunday.

Batshuayi scored 23 goals last season and becomes the first signing for new Blues manager Antonio Conte.

The 22-year-old was part of Belgium's squad at Euro 2016, scoring in their last-16 win over Hungary, and joins international team-mates Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge.

"I am delighted to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe and embark on the next chapter in my career," Batshuayi said on Chelsea's website.

"Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have told me many good things about the club, and with Antonio Conte coming in it's an exciting time to become a Chelsea player."
