Brazilian star makes young fan's day

Brazilian star David Luiz gave a young fan the souvenir of a lifetime, embracing him in a hug and handing him the shirt off his back during a heart-warming meeting.

Footage shows the boy run onto the pitch and make a bee-line for his idol, breaking down in tears as he approaches Luiz during a Brazilian training session.

And with true compassion the former Chelsea defender shows no hesitation to reward and comfort the youngster, instantly wrapping him in his arms for a heartfelt hug and even planting a kiss on his head.

Then comes the coup de grace - and a priceless souvenir.

Luiz removes his training shirt and hands it to the grateful boy before dutifully signing his name on the front in an act that should serve as a lesson to every surly sports star who's ever snubbed an autograph request.
