Borussia Dortmund 'must learn from errors'

Borussia Dortmund know they cannot afford to make too many mistakes as they take on hosts Legia Warsaw in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The German side lost to Leipzig in the Bundesliga at the weekend and CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke believes they need to learn from the errors they made.

Speaking to Dortmund's official website, he said: "There are only six group games, so you can't allow yourselves many slip-ups. On the other hand it will be a similar situation to the one in Leipzig.

"Legia are delighted to be back in the Champions League.

"They will go into the match with the same euphoria and the same passionate support that Leipzig had in our Bundesliga match at the weekend."

Dortmund will be without talisman Marco Reus after he suffered a setback in his recovery from injury.

The 27-year-old has been out of action since May when he sustained a groin problem and despite reports he could be back in time for the Champions League game, he has now been ruled out.

Legia will end Poland's 20-year absence from the Champions League on Wednesday night when they face Dortmund.

The side qualified after they won the Polish Championship (Ekstraklasa) for the 11th time in the 2015-16 season. They have not been part of the Champions League since 1996 when they were knocked out in the quarter-finals.

Legia will be without Michal Kucharczyk and Michal Pazdan for their first Champions League group match against Dortmund due to injury.
