Bizarre free-kick routine fails miserably

Italian giants AC Milan attempted a bizarre free-kick routine in a Serie A match against Atalanta, but their efforts failed to hit the mark.

After winning a free-kick on the edge of their opponents' area, Milan forward Jeremy Menez lined up his strike with not only Atalanta's defensive wall in his way, but also two additional walls made up of his own team-mates.

As the Frenchman took aim at goal, the Milan players charged forwards, causing confusion in the penalty box, but the unusual set-piece came to no avail when Menez's shot failed to hit the target.

It may have worked on the training ground, but we doubt we'll be seeing Milan attempt this in a match again any time soon.
