Barbarouses eyes Victory run after Oman
All Whites striker Kosta Barbarouses isn't ruling out appearing for Melbourne Victory in Saturday's sixth-round A-League clash against Sydney FC.
Barbarouses is in Muscat for 159th-ranked New Zealand's match against world No.83 Oman on Friday, but says he could still play a part for the defending champions when they meet Sydney in a replay of last season's grand final on Saturday.
"It's tough to say at the moment, I'm just going to see how I'm feeling after the game," he said.
"There's been no pressure on me from anyone, so I'll just get back there and assess how I'm feeling."
Barbarouses says the Kiwis are structured similar to the Victory.
"It suits me perfectly. This is my third season at the Victory now, and that's pretty much exactly how we set up," he said.
"We like to press high up on the field and we don't really let teams play out or get the chance to get too comfortable on the ball."
