Balotelli blasts into New Year with fireworks

Italian football star Mario Balotelli has made good on a New Year's Eve promise by celebrating the arrival of 2016 with his very own fireworks display.
Balotelli, who is back in Italy with AC Milan on a season-long loan from Liverpool, had promised his fans 'a nice video' with fireworks to help them celebrate the night.

And the striker delivered in style, posting two videos on his Instagram account that show him lighting a carton of fireworks which, in turn, light up the night sky.
It certainly wasn't a show to rival Sydney's famed New Year's fireworks spectacular, but for someone who regularly makes headlines for the wrong reasons, this was a pleasant sight.
Nice one, Super Mario.
