Awkward massage after blow to groin

A Dutch football physio has given one of the most awkward on-pitch massages in the history of sport.

The rub-down came after Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo was struck in the groin by a fierce shot during a Dutch Eredivisie clash against Vitesse over the weekend.

Match footage shows Kongolo in agony in the arms of the physio, who is pouring cold water down the player’s shorts, after the blow.

It’s then that things get a little intimate as the physio reaches into the man’s shorts to massage the area.

The No5 awkwardly leaves the field as he continues to pour water on the tender area.

He later returned to the pitch as Feyenoord drew 0-0.
