Football player passes ball to Santa ad
We’ve all heard about the time that Santa Claus came to town. In the case of Thiago Alcantra, a Spanish born midfielder who plays for Bayern Munich, he thought he’d come to the German league.
The occasion was a match between Bayern and Leipzig in the Bundesliga and Thiago turned when he caught a glimpse of a red jumper running down the sideline.
The only problem was that it wasn’t a Bayern teammate but a pixelated Santa shovelling snow as part of the advertising hoarding on the sideline.

Lucky for Thiago one of his ACTUAL Bayern teammates arrived to save the day and spare him any further embarrassment.
The Spanish midfielder recovered to score a goal in the 3-0 romp but we’re not sure if Santa had the assist.
