Mayweather's team set to file $157m lawsuit ahead of Logan Paul fight
Floyd Mayweather and his company, The Money Team, are reportedly eyeing a $157 million legal battle ahead of his exhibition fight with YouTuber Logan Paul.
According to a report from TMZ Sports, a suit has been filed on behalf of Mayweather Promotions seeking $157m in damages from event company PAC Entertainment Worldwide.
At the centre of the claims, Mayweather's team say are two breaches of contract. The first is to do with the location of the fight, with the suit questioning if contacts in Dubai ever had "the financial wherewithal and capability to host a fight of this magnitude".
Dubai recently fell through as a location to host the fight, with Mayweather's team scrambling to find Miami's HARD Rock Stadium as the new venue.

The second claimed breach is regarding payment. Mayweather was to receive $141m in the lead-up to the event, with PAC reportedly missing a payment of $38m due on March 25.
Mayweather's team claim that he could back out of the fight and still be entitled to millions.
The last time Mayweather entered the ring was on New Year's Eve 2018, when he defeated Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa via first-round TKO in an exhibition match.
He was paid a reported $9 million for the 139-second fight.
His last professional bout was a 10th round TKO of UFC star Conor McGregor in 2017, where estimates suggest he took home close to $373m.
