Female NFL ref broke wrist in mid game collision

As the first female official in the NFL, Sarah Thomas is obviously made of tough stuff, we just didn’t know how tough, until now.

It was recently revealed that Thomas broke her wrist while officiating a game between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings in December.

Thomas was controlling the sideline during the clash between the NFC north rivals when she was hit hard as a Vikings receiver was bundled out of play.

Footage from the match shows Thomas, who has completed her second season as an official in the NFL, come up smiling as she brushes off those checking in on her, including the two players.

Even without knowing the extent of her injuries, her toughness is impressive, but it’s even more so know we know she suffered a fracture.
