Fanning waits as lay day called at J-Bay

Mick Fanning will have to wait another day for his quarter final against Brazil's Filipe Toledo at the World Surf League event at Jeffreys Bay, with a lay day called.
Fanning is back at the event after narrowly avoiding a shark attack at the event last year.
Fellow Australian Julian Wilson, who was in the water with Fanning during the 2015 incident is also due to surf his quarter-final against Brazilian Gabriel Medina.

Kelly Slater faces Australia's Josh Kerr in the other quarter after Hawaiian John John Florence advanced to the semis with a Sunday win over South African Jordy Smith.
