Fame for bumbling sports reporter

Meet Bobby Ramos - the US "sports reporter" fast gaining cult status after a hilariously awkward NBA press conference appearance.

Ramos, a retired police officer, left Miami stars LeBron James and Dwayne Wade laughing and almost lost for words with an impossibly long-winded question following Miami's 111-92 defeat to San Antonio in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Having first asked Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra a virtual non-question, which illicited a one word response, Ramos, who has no affiliation with any news service, turned his attention to LeBron and D-Wade.

And as this video shows, the superstars were left chortling at the awkward moment, with LeBron speechless and deferring to D-Wade.

Ramos' appearance has begged a number of questions, namely: who sent him? and will he continue?

Only time will tell.
