'Making it sound more dramatic': Michael Van Gerwen explains viral clip of late-night scuffle
Darts legend Michael Van Gerwen has been caught on video in a pizza shop brawl and has claimed the perpetrator came at him from behind the counter.
The 36-year-old has played down the incident, which went viral on social media after being leaked from Snapchat.

"After an enjoyable night out, we wanted to grab something to eat, and unfortunately I ended up in a situation you'd rather avoid", he told Darts News.
"The man came at me from the kitchen, not the other way round. People are making it sound more dramatic than it actually was, which is a shame.
"As you can see, people stepped in straight away and the situation was resolved. I even spoke with the man's nephew afterwards, and we cleared the air before we left."
According to reports out of the Netherlands, the incident occurred in Den Bosch at a restaurant called Shoarma Pizzeria.
Van Gerwen is a three-time PDC world champion and one of the most decorated players in the sport, sitting second all-time behind only Phil Taylor.

Van Gerwen is expected to now compete in Leicester at the three floor tournaments ahead of the Players Championship Finals.
Hailing from the Netherlands, 'Mighty Mike' has been competing since 2002 and won his first world championship in 2014.
