Daniel Dubois delivers another highlight reel knockout to end 2019 with belts

Then he put out his lights with a savage right hand shortly after to finish 2019 as the WBC silver champion and WBO international heavyweight title holder.

'Dynamite' Dubois, 22, is yet to fight anyone of consequence, with Fujimoto no exception. Yet with 13 knockouts in a 14-0 record, the powerful young Englishman has put the heavyweight division on notice that he's a rising force.

"I paced myself, let him come to me, and then loaded up with power," Dubois said after the fight.

"If I keep collecting these nice belts, the world title will come soon and I know my promoter Frank Warren will look to get me into a mandatory position to challenge for a world title next year."

Warren plans to have Dubois fight Joe Joyce, a former Olympic silver medallist, in London next April.

Dubois is ranked world No.5 with the WBO, his highest rating by any of boxing's major governing bodies.

Joyce (10-0, 9 KOs) is a 34-year-old veteran he should present Dubois with his sternest examination to date.

Dubois belts are mere tokens and the consensus is that he is nowhere near ready to challenge the likes of Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury. But that may change if he continues to pair development with his frightening power.
