Froome 25th as Clarke wins in cycling

Tour de France champion Chris Froome finished 25th in Wednesday's prologue at the Herald Sun Tour as Australian Will Clarke won the time trial.

Clarke beat his winning time from last year by more than a second, clocking two minutes 34.27 seconds for the 2.1km course at Melbourne's Southbank.

He beat Caleb Ewan by a second, while Froome clocked 2:42.10.
