Caroline Buchanan's outstanding build-up to the London Olympics continues, with the BMX star winning again in the Netherlands.

Buchanan is the rider to beat at round three of the World Cup series after clocking the fastest time in the time trial at Papendal.

The time trial determines the seedings for the racing round at each event.

Buchanan said taking out the time trial was a big confidence boost, especially given she mistimed a tricky triple jump at the end of the first straight.

"When I came up short on that triple I thought it was over," she said.

"But look I've had the win and that's good."

Buchanan has taken out the time trial three times at Papendal, but has never gone on to win the final.

Papendal is the third round of the World Cup and Buchanan took out the first two races in Argentina and England.

Six Australian men, including men's favourite Sam Willoughby, and two women will also compete in the match racing on Sunday in Papendal.
