Australian ODI team warned about 150km/h teenage bowling sensation Mohammad Hasnain

Former Aussie batsman Shane Watson has warned the ODI squad to prepare for some serious pace from Pakistan bowling sensation Mohammad Hasnain.

Pakistan will play Australia in a five-match series, starting on Friday and Hasnain is expected to make his ODI debut.

Hasnain was clocked deliveries exceeding the 150km/h mark in the Quetta Gladiators' Pakistan Super League final victory.

"I have never seen an 18-year-old bowl at such pace and I think even on the UAE pitches he will be a difficult proposition for the Australian team," Watson said after Hasnain played a starring role for the Gladiators.

"Hasnain’s control over his length and swing is very impressive and he varies his pace very well."

Hasnain took 3-30 in four overs in a man-of-the-match performance in the final against Peshawar Zalmi.

"I prefer getting my wickets via yorkers or bouncers," Hasnain said after the match.

"I have always been a fast bowler and I hope to bowl even faster.

"I want to do well in the ODIs against Australia, maybe get a spot in the World Cup squad as well."

Quetta captain Sarfraz Ahmed described Hasnain's pace as "very impressive".

"He has the ability to surprise the batsmen on any surface," Ahmed said.
