'Hometown hero' Jake Lehmann hits crucial century as Redbacks take control of Sheffield Shield final
Jake Lehmann has scored a crucial century to put South Australia in a commanding position in the Sheffield Shield final against Queensland.
The son of former Test batter and coach Darren Lehmann hit 15 boundaries on his way to triple-figures, as the Redbacks took a 176-run lead in the first innings.
The left-hander finished with 102 off 151 deliveries as the hosts were bowled out for 271 in reply to Queensland's low total of 95 in their first innings at Karen Rolton Oval.

It marked the 14th first-class ton of Lehmann's career.
"The hometown hero, with arms aloft - what a brilliant century," one commentator said.

Should they go on to win the decider, it would be a full-circle moment for the Lehmann family, with Darren featuring in South Australia's last title-winning team in 1996.
Queensland's second innings got off to a much stronger start and finished the day one run ahead of their rivals.
Usman Khawaja (21) was the first batter out, allowing Test teammate and Bulls skipper Marnus Labuschagne (61) to enter the fray and steady the ship.
Queensland will resume on Friday morning at 3/177 in their second dig.
