BCCI pressure sees UAE pull out of hosting PSL, as England emerges as potential IPL saviour
Both the Indian Premier League and the Pakistani Super League have been postponed due to rising military tension between the two countries continues to cause chaos in cricket.
The Pakistani Cricket Board had earlier confirmed the relocation of eight remaining PSL matches to Dubai citing growing concerns among overseas players and the need to prioritise their safety. Aussies David Warner and Sean Abbott are among those set to fly out.
But the latest announcement said the PSL was being postponed and gave no indication whether or not it would resume.

However, reports from India suggest the UAE Cricket board had relented under pressure from the all-powerful BCCI not to host the PSL.
The report states that the UAE didn't wish to jeopardise its relationship with Indian cricket, and has instead put its hand up to host the remainder of the IPL, in what can only be described as an enormous backflip.
The English Cricket Board has also thrown its hat in the ring to host the remainder of the IPL, saying they could do so in September.

Earlier in the week, an Indian drone fell inside the complex of the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium hours before the start of a PSL game in which several cricketers from New Zealand, Australia, West Indies, South Africa and England were due to compete.
16 games remain in the IPL season, but with players now flying home around the world, a resumption would prove challenging in the short term.
The Guardian has reported that ECB chief executive Richard Gould has reached out to the BCCI and offered his support.
