Conor McGregor rivals 50 Cent for worst baseball pitch ever thrown
He might be one of the most dangerous men to ever step foot in the octagon, but Conor McGregor's athletic prowess seemingly doesn't transfer over to baseball.
The UFC megastar was in Chicago when the Cubs hosted the Minnesota Twins today (AEST), and threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Wrigley Field.

Dressed in a full suit, McGregor unleashed with his left hand, sailing it miles wide of the strike zone (watch in the video at the top of the page).
Celebrity first pitches at baseball games are well and truly a mixed bag, with some - like former president George W. Bush, being incredible and memorable moments for all the right reasons.
At least in McGregor's defence, it probably wasn't as bad as rapper 50 Cent's effort, which remains most people's pick as the worst first pitch of all time - although the jury seems to be out.
McGregor showed us a few years earlier at a Dallas Cowboys game that perhaps his lethal left arm should be saved for throwing punches, rather than balls.

But whatever you think about his abilities on a sporting field rather than inside a ring, McGregor remains the biggest draw in the combat sports world.
Despite losing twice to American Dustin Poirier this year, he has said he will fight again in 2022.
