$US100 million. That’s what it might take to see the showdown of the century between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

Double UFC champion McGregor demanded the whopping figure after declaring Mayweather was afraid of a real fight.

“I want a $100 million cash to fight him under boxing rules,” Mayweather told a room full of supporters.

“He wants a boxing match, he doesn't want a fight ... he's afraid of a real fight.”

McGregor’s fighting words comes after retired boxing champion Mayweather dismissed the achievements of the UFC fighter.

Irishman McGregor made history after adding the lightweight belt to his featherweight title by knocking out Eddie Alvarez at Maddison Square Garden.

“I didn’t know Conor McGregor was undefeated,” Mayweather told TMZ.

“I didn’t know he had a reign in MMA for 20 years and undefeated and was world champion in five different weight classes. That’s something I didn’t know.

“So I guess you guys are telling me something new if you say he’s the Floyd Mayweather of the MMA.”
