A Black Sabbatical ends
Arguably one of Birmingham's biggest musical exports, two of the original members of Black Sabbath performed at the closing ceremony of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
Ozzy Osbourne and Tommy Iommi - who formed the band with drummer Bill Ward and bassist Geezer Butler in 1968 - haven't performed on stage together since 2017.
The pair closed the ceremony by performing their hit Paranoid.
"F---ing hell, this is unreal! Welcome home, Ozzy" UK Today Editor Kieran Doody tweeted.
According to Rolling Stone, Osbourne teased the reunion several years ago on British television.
When the idea of a Sabbath reunion was put to him, Osbourne told ITV "that would be fantastic wouldn't it?"
And fantastic it was.
Nobody was Paranoid tonight
In their first performance together since a Black Sabbath reunion in tour in 2017, Ozzy Osbourne and Tommy Iommi performed Paranoid to end the closing ceremony to the Birmingham Commonwealth games.

Australian dance troupe
A large chunk of the closing ceremony was dedicated to the hosts of the next games in 2026, to be held in Regional Victoria.
Elders from the four countries hosting the games conducting a smoking ceremony, before they all came together to perform a dance.
Chairman of the Birmingham 2022 Organising Committee John Crabtree said the games were a recognition of Birmingham as a "global international city".
"We welcome and celebrate our heritage from all over the world, and all backgrounds and all faiths," he said.
"People talk about heart warming. There must be a temperature for a heart well above warming. Certainly mine has been there these past weeks."
The 2026 games will be held in Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and Gippsland - the first multi-city host in the games' history.

Part of the Australian contingent of performers was Baker Boy.
After the smoking ceremony, he was first cab off the rank in the Australian-themed performances.

They were watched on by a representative of each of the four Indigenous nations who will host the next games.

Without his Midnight Runners, Dexys performed his classic hit Come on Eileen to start the show.
