Commentator predicts brutal KO blow

Sports fans have all heard of the 'commentator's curse' – the moment when an announcer's pearl of wisdom is ripped apart by the action being called.

But one mixed martial arts caller has trumped the microphone voodoo after perfectly describing the end of a fight just moments before it happened.

Mike Ricci was facing Joe Condon in the World Series of Fighting when commentator Todd Harris suddenly had a moment of future sight.

Describing the action in the first round, Harris declared Ricci was looking for the right moment to deliver a trademark kick.

And as if fighting to the commentator's script, Ricci dropped his rival with a brutal kick to the face that immediately forced the referee to stop the fight.

A wave of disbelief swept across the commentary booth with Harris' co-host stunned by his ability to see into the future.

"What were you saying?" the co-host asked.

"Todd you were saying something a second ago. What was it?"

The victory advance Ricci through to the semi-finals of the tournament, but an injury cruelled his shot for a spot in the final.

There is no word whether Harris predicted that unfortunate event.
