UPDATED: Tyson Pedro's professional boxing debut has been put on ice again after Kris Terzievski walked away from Wednesday night's fight due to a contract dispute.

Stan Sport said the "unforeseen" dispute was between the promoter of Uncaged and Terzievski.

"My bag's in the car still, so I was ready to fight," Pedro told Stan.

"I came from the biggest promotion, in the UFC, in the world, and I picked the best bridgerweight in the country and he bailed on me.

"I expected him to run in the ring, but I didn't expect him to run interstate."

A frustrated Pedro was asked to explain the situation.

"I got a call saying that he might be... I won't go into details," he said.

"The truth will come out of everything that's happened but yeah, I just got a call, maybe it was off, maybe it was on, and I didn't understand it. And then I found out that he was on a plane.

"I've trained for a year for this, so as you can imagine, I'm disappointed... there's a lot of people here that are waiting to have one of the best Australian cards that could have been and, yeah, it's just a disappointment."

Pedro was asked if the Terzievski bout could be salvaged again.

"I'm not making any calls, but if you leave me standing in the aisle, how can you ask me to marry you again? So we'll see what happens.

"Obviously, I just want that shot at the belt. I was prepared to hurt someone tonight. Now I don't get to hurt anyone, so I'm a bit edgy, as you can imagine.

"I'm disappointed but it's just a bump in the road for me. I've had worse things happen to me in my life, so I just get on with it.

"Nothing stops me. I was built for this shit. My skin is itching, my knuckles are itching."

The new main event in Penrith is Olympian Paulo Aokuso (7-0) taking on Clay Waterman (13-1) for the WBC Australasian light heavyweight title.
