'Weak-gutted dog': Paul Gallen hits Sonny Bill Williams with Ricky Stuart sledge a week out from super-fight

Paul Gallen called Sonny Bill Williams a "mutt" and a "weak-gutted dog" as tensions further escalated ahead of Wednesday's much anticipated heavyweight boxing clash in Sydney.
Williams joined Nine's State of Origin post-match coverage from the Gold Coast and Gallen immediately went on the offensive as the New Zealander struggled to get a word in.
The fight between the two ex-NRL stars has been a decade in the making.

"You are a weak-gutted dog. An absolute mutt," Gallen said.
"I've been waiting forever. I'm 43, now you've got me and you're in big trouble boy. I can't wait to finally finish this bloke and shut him up once and for all."
The weak-gutted dog sledge has become a meme after Raiders coach Ricky Stuart pulled it out of his pocket in 2022.

Stuart was furious with then Panthers player Jaeman Salmon, who injured Canberra hooker Tom Starling with a kick.
"I've had history with that kid. I know that kid very well. He was a weak-gutted dog as a kid and he hasn't changed now. He's a weak-gutted dog person now," Stuart infamously said.
Williams managed to get a few of his own verbal jabs in, calling Gallen "ugly" and his "little brother."

Gallen wasn't copping that.
"I'm older than you, you dope. You're looking aged and weathered yourself but I am going to beat you.
"Don't run like we know you've run before."
The pair will come face to face at the pre-fight press conference on Monday in Sydney.
