Mark Schleibs has recorded the "knock out of the year", demolishing Shamal Ram Anuj with a "vicious" left-handed hook that rocked the Nikita Tszyu vs Dylan Biggs fight night.

In round five of six, Schleibs attacked, forcing Anuj into the corner, where he landed a brutal punch to the Fijian's jaw.

It was blow that left Anuj on the floor out cold, with his arm draped over the rope in brutal scenes.

In Schleibs' post-fight interview, he was emotional when recounting his journey to take his first victory in four years.

"Nine months without my kid. Crying everyday before training. I love you Oscar, I hope you're proud of me son," he said.

"As long as you love me son, I'm always going to be a world champion.

"My mum, in and out of the psych (psychiatric) ward, looking after her. Just a lot of relief."
