Erickson Lubin disputed reports he's dodging Tim Tszyu, instead the American claims their fight will go ahead once his hand heals.

Lubin informed the IBF he is "medically unfit to fight" on September 22nd, with Tszyu's team accusing him of ducking the Aussie, after avoiding Tszyu twice previously.

However, Lubin took to social media on Thursday morning to reject that assertion, saying both sides agreed to fight on a later date in the United States.

"Our teams agreed to December (in the States). Quit the duck narrative," he wrote.

"I've fought the best in this division you're coming off a loss now go get a win in Aussie vs one of your cousins or some I'll see you in December when my hand is good don't forget that I asked for this!"

Tszyu's people have already confirmed they're looking for another opponent for his clash in Australia in September.

It's understood the only way a fight with Lubin takes place in December, is if Tszyu cannot secure a rival to travel to Australia for the bout in September.

If Tszyu fights in September and wins, he will bypass Lubin and fight reigning champ Bakhram Murtazaliev.

Lubin further explained his position on social media.

"I asked for the Tim Tszyu fight unfortunately I have an injury in my left hand I even asked to move the date back a month or two to heal so we could still make it happen they didn't agree to move it back and will continue with their show, we have now agreed to fight in December".

Tszyu's promoters, No Limit Boxing, confirmed they are awaiting an update from the IBF on who they will mandate to fight Tszyu in the eliminator.

Lubin has been accused of ducking Tszyu in the past.

The American turned down a bout in Australia last year, with Tszyu opting to take on Brian Mendoza on Gold Coast instead.

He was the leading candidate for Tszyu's Las Vegas headliner before Keith Thurman was brought in at the last minute, only to be replaced by Sebastian Fundora.
