College gymnast's unique moves go viral

She may have been thrilling crowds at Louisiana State University for over a year now, but gymnast Lloimincia Hall has now grabbed the attention of the world thanks to a video of her unique routine going viral.

Hall led the LSU team into the national championships on the weekend with her third perfect 10 of the season.

Far from the traditional displays usually seen in the sport, Hall's performance is much funkier, incorporating hip hop dance moves and upbeat music that she delivers with gusto.

Her performance on Saturday brought to light video of a previous routine she performed in January and it quickly went viral, gaining the attention of several large news organisations in the US.

But the gymnast is focused only on helping her team progress in the championships and has put her newfound fame to the side for now.

"I turned off all my Facebook, I turned off anything that reminded me of the routine going viral and just stayed in the process," she told ABC News.

LSU will now compete in the NCAA Championships semi-final on April 18 where they will be hoping to secure a place in the Super Six the following day.
