College footballers start season with pile up

The old saying ''everything will be right on the night'', could not be less fitting for these college football players.

The opening game of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers' season started out on an embarrassing note when the players literally tripped over each other while trying to get onto the field.

The arrival of the players is a celebrated part of matches in this sport, and the opening game of the season is sure to have everyone on a high.

So when then there was a tumble towards the front, the players kept charging out the tunnel . The result, predictably, was mayhem.

There was a silver lining to this cloud for the Hilltoppers – once they cleaned up their earlier debacle, they went on to score a 46-14 win over Rice.
