Bradl's spectacular MotoGP crash

It's the high-speed motor racing crash you have to see to believe.

German MotoGP racer Stefan Bradl hit new heights when he jack-knifed and became airborne in a spectacular flip during a warm-up for yesterday's Italian MotoGP.

As this video shows, Bradl was approaching a right bend, when his Honda RC213V jack-knifed across the track, sending him hurtling and spinning into the air at around 200km/h.

The 24-year-old landed heavily on his right knee on the track before skidding off into the sand, sparking immediate fears he would not be able to compete in the MotoGP.

But to the joy of his LCR Honda team team - and no doubt Bradl himself - his only injury was a sore hand, which he could be seen checking in the aftermath of the spill.

He was later cleared to race, having qualified in ninth position, with Spaniard Marc Marquez claiming pole.

Bradl finished eighth behind winner Marquez.
