Beginner surfers in sickening collision

A beginner surfer has reportedly escaped unscathed after a sickening collision with another amateur that was caught on camera.

The woman had a GoPro attached to the front of her board and was casually paddling on a wave when she came into the path of a male surfer.Video of the incident shows the man attempted to avoid a collision, but in doing so he instead rocketed his board into the side of her head.Popular online surfing destination "Surf Transworld" posted the footage to its website to point out what it described as 'glaring errors' from two rookies."For one, the lady paddling was in the trough of the wave, either sit outside or on the inside, not right in the impact zone," their article read."Secondly, instead of turning away, the guy who ran her over somehow shot his board right at her head. Full kook maneuver. Stay away from other people and ride the whitewash if you’re just learning, you’re putting everyone’s safety at risk."

The website also reported that the woman was alive.
