    Young Australian Harry Froling has officially signed his letter of intent to play college basketball for Southern Methodist University.

    The 18-year-old from Canberra played in the NBL for Townsville Crocodiles last year and after some promising displays was invited to be part of the world team as one of the top 12 international players at the 2016 Nike Hoop Summit in Portland where he impressed US coaches.

    Froling will now get the chance to play under legendary coach Larry Brown, the only man to win a NBA and NCAA titles.

    He will join his Australian under-17 teammate Tom Wilson who signed his letter of intent for the Mustangs last year.

    Froling and Wilson were teammates on the team that won the silver medal at the 2014 under-17 World Championships.
