Wildcats giant Jawai grounded by quad

Perth Wildcats centre Nate Jawai has been ruled out of Wednesday night's NBL clash with the Crocodiles because of a quad injury.
Jawai first suffered the injury in round three and has been ruled out of the trip to Townsville as a precaution.
The former NBA centre is expected to return for Friday's clash with the Crocodiles at Perth Arena.

Jawai has played three games since first injuring his quad a fortnight ago.
In last week's win over Illawarra, he posted 16 points and three blocks in less than 19 minutes of court time but the injury has since flared again.
The Wildcats sit second on the table with a 4-2 record, while the Crocodiles (2-6) are struggling in last spot.
