Trampolining hoopster nails jaw-dropping double trick shot

Basketball trick shots can be a hit and miss affair.

Some are spectacular, some are silly and others, like this one from US hoopster Kevin Libertowski, are simply jaw dropping.

Bouncing on a backyard trampoline, Libertowski holds one basketball in his hands and has another placed between his knees.

He then launches into a backflip and after completing a full rotation, fires off a mid-air shot 20m away from the hoop.

With the first ball floating and then bouncing off the ground toward the target, the acrobatic ring master completes a front flip, removing the second ball from between his knees and lets it fly to the ring.

Remarkably both shots hit the net a split second apart, prompting the trickster to charge toward the hoop and pump his fist in joy before throwing himself into another backflip to celebrate.

Explaining the stunt, which he admits took "many attempts", Libertowski makes it sound all too easy.

But the time and skill required to produce the double swish can't be underestimated.

The only question is whether the footage is genuine or a canny piece of trick photography.

Libertowski uploaded a similar clip in May 2013 when he launched a single shot from between his knees during a trampoline front flip.

But the double act takes the cake as arguably the finest basketball trick shot ever.
