's a very tough contest to win, but when you win you get paid for it. He won $10,000; some will probably go toward his school bill and some in his pocket."While Tamayo said the secret to his win was concentration, he should also be thankful for a lot of luck. None of his shots were convincing. His lay-up, which would presumably be the easiest of all shots, almost made a complete circle of the ring before falling in.

The half-court shot appeared to take all his might and hammered into the backboard before swooshing through the net.
