'We take full responsibility': NBL officials forced to explain score blunder
NBL officials have been forced to confess to a score blunder in a match between the Cairns Taipans and Perth Wildcats.
The clash, which took place on October 10, saw the Wildcats emerge with the victory.
The score was initially announced as 90-87 but after an error in the scoring process, it was revealed that Perth had been robbed of a point.

The blunder was not made evident until after the full-time buzzer but the scoreline will stand due to FIBA rules.
Under the governing body's guidelines, scores can not be amended once the ball is deemed dead and the game clock strikes zero at the end of the match.

NBL chief operating officer Vince Crivelli apologised for the incident.
"We own, accept and take full responsibility for the error made," he said.
"We take the matter extremely seriously and will continue to educate our personnel on the correct processes and protocols."
Perth sit seventh on the NBL ladder after five games, with the Taipans sixth.
