NBA star distracted by song, interviews poorly

Another great lesson for reporters has been learnt during a post-match interview with an NBA star; try not to interview a player while a Tupac song is playing in the arena.

LA Clippers centre DeAndre Jordan starred in his team’s 102-93 win over the Celtics and as a result, he had to do the honours with an on-court interview.

Footage from the post-match coverage shows Jordan get startled by the female reporter’s comment that “he was everywhere today” after not hearing it initially.

“What was the key to getting you going?” She asks.

“Um, we did it,” is the only answer Jordan can muster. “I was listening to TuPac and I forgot the question,” Jordan admits.

“But other than that I don’t know what the question was but yeah, alright.”

The legendary rapper was not the only thing to distract the 2.11m centre during the hilariously disjointed interview.

It ended abruptly after Jordan’s teammate Matt Barnes wrapped a towel around the centre’s neck and mouth.

“These guys are in a great mood today,” the laughing reporter was left to say as Jordan throws the towel back at the camera.
