NBA star hit with hefty fine for throwing water bottle in anger and hitting game attendant's head
The NBA has fined Toronto's Brandon Ingram $38,258 (AUD) for forcibly throwing a water bottle to the floor while on the bench during the Raptors' game at Philadelphia on Sunday (AEDT).
Executive vice president of basketball operations James Jones announced the sanction.
Ingram spiked the bottle like a football midway through the third quarter of a 130-120 loss to the 76ers.

The bottle then flew back up, hit a game attendant in the face while smashing and spilling water all over the court.
This delayed the game to dry the area while Ingram sat on the bench and didn't reach to his mistaken throw, sulking while game attendants wiped up the spilled water.
Raptors teammate Scottie Barnes was also soaked with the rogue throw, quickly walking away off the bench after he was hit.

He finished with 21 points and eight rebounds in the game against Philadelphia, as the loss for the Raptors snapped their four-game win streak.
