NBA fan 'caught sniffing' Pacers star Allen

An NBA fan has allegedly been caught out taking a big whiff of Indiana Pacers star Lavoy Allen.

Video of the purported incident lit-up social media shortly after the Pacers' clash against Brooklyn Nets over the weekend.

The footage was captured as Allen took a break on the bench and seems to shows the fan leaning in to smell the 25-year-old who was chatting to someone off camera.

The man then eases back into his seat with an expression that would have you believe he was delighted with the aroma.

While the interaction certainly looked disturbing, reports have also surfaced that the fan was seated several rows behind the Pacers' bench and that he is in fact the one who's fallen foul of unfortunate camera angles .

Either way, the moment clearly had no effect on Allen who scored 10 points in his side's 110-85 victory.
