NBL issues 'please explain' to 10 coaches and players across league after fiery weekend
Ten players and coaches have been issued a 'please explain' after a wild weekend in the NBL which saw multiple spotfires across the entire league.
The bad blood began on Saturday when the Sydney Kings and Illawarra Hawks faced off, before a fiery clash between Melbourne United and the South East Melbourne Phoenix on Sunday.
The United-Phoenix clash erupted after Mitch Creek's thunderous slam on Matthew Dellavedova, which was followed by a scuffle after Dellavedova's teammate Mason Peatling knocked Creek to the ground as he stood over Dellavedova.

Pealing was cited for unduly rough play and for engaging in a melee, while veteran teammate David Barlow was cited for leaving the bench. United assistant coach Justin Schueller was cited for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

On the Phoenix side, Creek and teammate Izayah Le'afa were cited for engaging in the melee. Phoenix captain Kyle Adnam was also issued with a please explain.
The drama in the Kings-Hawks clash kicked off after Kings guard Angus Glover stood over Illawarra's Sam Froling in the fourth quarter, with a melee ensuing.

Glover and Kings teammate Xavier Cooks were cited for engaging in the melee, while Froling and Hawks teammate Justinian Jessup were also cited.
All the players and coaches involved have been given until 6pm on Tuesday to respond.
